Fall sports updates: week of September 27th

Men’s Cross Country – The team travelled away for the Malone Invitational and left with a first place finish. The top five runners all placed in the top twenty. The team will travel to Copley to face their rivals on Thursday. 

 

Men’s Golf – On Tuesday, the team will stay home to face Nordonia, and on Thursday the team will travel to the Suburban League Tournament at Good Park.

 

Men’s Soccer –  The boys travelled to Buckeye on Saturday and continue to hold their number one spot in the state. The team won 4-1, and will travel to Copley tonight to face their rivals.

 

Football – The team stayed home to defend their home turf against Barberton; they lost 34-7. The team will travel to Highland to battle a 6-0 Hornet squad.

 

Women’s Cross Country – the team travelled to Strongsville on Saturday for an invitational. The team left with a fourth place finish and will run against Copley this Thursday for a dual meet. 

 

Women’s Golf – On Tuesday, the team will travel to Twinsburg to face the Tigers, and on Thursday the team will travel to Brookledge Country Club to compete in the Suburban League Tournament. 

 

Women’s Soccer – The team will travel to Copley on Wednesday to try to best their rival.

 

Women’s Tennis – This weekend the team participated in the Suburban League Tournament, top finishers were Maddie Kavenagh, Tirini Gowda, Gabriela Iler, and doubles teams of Shreya Gupta and Mollie Gray and Diya Nuka and Ananya Jayaraman. Senior night for the team is tonight at 3:45. 

 

Volleyball – Over the weekend, the team traveled to Wadsworth in a match they lost 3-0. This week the team will stay home to face Tallmadge on Tuesday, and will travel to Barbeton on Thursday.
