Several Revere High School students have contributed money to purchase a recreational vehicle in order to tailgate at school sporting events.

Junior Jake Kahoe and a few of his friends put their heads and money together and purchased a 1985 Catalina Coachmen RV back in October. Kahoe talked about how he came up with the idea of buying an RV.

“Back in the summer, my little brother, Mikey, and I came up with the idea to buy a boat. Obviously a boat was not in our price range so we got a few buddies together to chip in. We were just a few kids with a truck and a dream. After checking Craigslist, it was apparent the boat idea was not [going to] work, so we moved our thoughts to a camper,” Kahoe said.

Junior Chris Valensky was involved in buying and working on the RV. Valensky explained the sentimental value of the RV purchase.

“The camper has brought and will bring so many more memories that my friends and I will never forget,” Valensky said.
Junior Jared Baumgardner also commented on what the RV will provide for his friends.

“The camper will provide us a lifetime worth of fun, friends and endless activities,” Baumgardner said.

The guys are planning to host more tailgates next year at multiple sporting events. Other people included in the process of buying and renovating the RV included Mikey Kahoe, Peter Lombardi, Brendan Patena, Nolan Printy and Vince Rykalla.
