Men’s Basketball –  In the teams first playoff game the team defeated the Woodridge Bulldogs 81-66. The win was supported by double digits performance from five minutemen, and a strong showing by Greg Cochran who won the team’s Defensive Champion belt. The team will advance to the next round of the playoffs where they will face #5 ranked Akron East. 

 

Wrestling –  Over the weekend, the minutemen traveled to Northwest to compete in the OHSAA Sectional tournament. The team finished 5th out of 12 teams, top performers included 2nd place winners Sal Bonacuse at 120, Austin Ogle at 132, and Aiden Jones at 144, Colin Butler placed 3rd at 150. The team will travel to Districts on Saturday. 

 

Indoor Track – Members of the team will travel to Spire Institute on Saturday to compete in the Indoor Track and Field State Championships. Qualifiers include Kephart and Farrow in High Jump, Farrow and Meixner in triple jump, Zurn in weight throw, Diulus in the 3200, and Wilson, Diulus, Schultz, and Lang in the 4×800.
