Men’s Basketball – The Minutemen lost their season opener to Bay Village by a score of 50-54. The Minutemen will stay home to battle The Academy for Urban Scholars on December 5th.
Women’s Basketball – The Lady Minutemen have started off their season with a 2-1 record. The team’s home opener was against Cuyahoga Falls where Varsity won with a score of 46-31 and Junior Varsity won with a score of 29-25. The ladies have also taken a win against Northwest with a score of 60-36, with Sophia Wojciak going 5/5 on three pointers, but they fell to Aurora with a score of 48-41. Their next game is at home on December 6th versus Tallmadge.
Wrestling – On Saturday December 2nd the Minutemen faced North Ridgeville to start their season. They will travel to Independence to compete against The Independence Patriots on December 8th.
Swimming and Diving – On Wednesday the team traveled to Hiram College to compete against The Aurora GreenMen in their first game of the season. The boys team defeated GeenMen 94-86. Scoring multiple first places were Zach Koutris, Alex Koutris, Owen Willaman, Peter Shockey, and Brody Bard. However the girls team were defeated in a close battle of 86-99. Scoring first places for the girls team were Julia Grandon, Kayla Smith, Emery Banks, and Emmy Schmidt. The team will defend their home on Friday December 8 against the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers.
