Spring sports update: week of May 2nd

Baseball – Over the weekend the team faced New Philadelphia High School at home and lost 9-0. On Tuesday they will travel to Highland to face the Hornets.

 

Softball – The women played Kent Roosevelt at home on Monday and lost 10-9, they will again stay at home to battle Aurora on Thursday. Additionally the team earned the sixth seed in the sectional tournament and will have a first round bye, playing the winner of Springfield v. Holy Name on May 12th at home.

 

Men’s Lacrosse – Last Tuesday, the Revere Minutemen played the Hudson Explorers and lost 12-7. This week, they will face Wadsworth at home on Tuesday, followed by NDCL on Thursday for senior night.

 

Men’s Tennis – This past Thursday, the team routed the Kent-Roosevelt Rough Riders 5-0. Then the group traveled to Highland High School where they participated in the Suburban League tournament. Each member of the team found success. This Tuesday, the team will face Brecksville at home.

 

Track and Field – On Friday the team traveled to Tallmadge High School for an invitational where both teams placed third overall. First place finishes included Leah Valentine in the 400 meter, Megan Diulus in the 3200 meter and Kayla Kephart in high jump. The team will travel to Copley for their last regular season meet this Wednesday and travel to the Dwight Schar Invitational this Friday. 

 

Women’s Lacrosse – On Monday, the team traveled to Stow Monroe High School where they defeated the Bulldogs 7-6, improving their record to 5-6. On Tuesday they will travel to Wadsworth.
