City Museum presents a one-of-a-kind experience for the whole family

A school bus dangles off the roof of a ten-story building. Across from the bus, a giant ferris wheel rotates, and outside the building, planes and castles are stacked on top of each other with a thin tunnel of wires leading from each attraction.

Located in Saint Louis, Missouri, the City Museum is an adventure guaranteed to bring fun to anyone.

Originally a 600,000 square foot shoe warehouse, artists and designers Bob and Gail Cassilly bought the building in 1993. They brought in many crews and started work on the warehouse immediately, but no visitors knew what they were doing and what the future of the museum would bring.

Additionally, the building features a large aquarium and a circus that performs daily. Every floor of the unparalleled museum homes a different experience. On the first floor, a giant concrete whale sits. Upon exploring the whale, visitors will find a small two foot by one-foot hole on the floor. After squeezing in the small hole, a dimly lit tunnel leads visitors in two directions: an even narrower tunnel that leads to a jungle-like playground, or a large cave-like tunnel system.

The building is unique and offers an experience that no other place brings. Visitors are guaranteed a one-of-a-kind experience. Upon being compared to a large commercial place such as Disney, the City Museum and all of its unknown adventures easily top the excitement.

The admission prices for visitors are reasonable compared to the amount of excitement that the museum will bring. Sometimes, large tunnels can lead into small, narrow spaces that only children or small people can squeeze through. This can lead to a backup and people getting stuck in the tunnels.

Although the building can be extremely crowded, the amount of people adds to the excitement and buzz about the museum. Sometimes the extensive amount of crowds can make visitors feel claustrophobic. Overall, the City Museum is a one-of-a-kind unique experience for kids and adults that everyone should enjoy at least once in their life.
