Imke plans to pursue a career in the auto field after graduation. He explained that the program trained its students to “diagnose, adjust, repair and replace mechanical and electrical parts of automobiles.”
Mark Labay

Labay plans to get his Commercial Driver’s License after graduation and become a truck driver.
Joseph Vlasek
Work-Based Learning Program
Vlasek will be attending Ohio University in the fall. He said that he “learned a lot on how to repair and maintain cars.”
*Outstanding Student Award: “Senior Student chosen to be Outstanding Student of the year.” There is one student awarded per program.
Work-Based Learning Program: “Second year students who meet attendance and grade guidelines are encouraged to take advantage of the CVCC Work-Based Learning Program to put their skills to work. Students attend home school classes as usual, but during CVCC class time they work with area employers in paid positions directly related to their CVCC programs. Many students who participate are offered full-time positions after graduation.”

This organization had roots in the national organization – Printing Industries of America. Each year the GMA sponsors the Print Excellence Awards an industry competition that printing and allied organizations enter their professional work in to be evaluated by national and international judges. Graphic Media Alliance annually hosts a student category . . . In the Print Excellence Awards that is judged by national and international judges.”

Sobieraj will be attending Wright State University in the fall. He explained what he learned during his time at CVCC, “It taught me how to properly make a movie (Lighting, Shot Composition, Camera Movement, using Premiere Pro, etc) as well as photography, how to run a live news broadcast, how to make special effects, motion graphics and animations.”
Raphael Vernon

Vernon will be attending Full Sail University in the fall.
*National Technical Honor Society: “An elite group that was created by the National Association of Vocational and Technical School Principals to honor students who excel in scholarship, leadership, service and character. The group is a national organization governed by national rules. The membership is one of the highest honors given to a vocational high school student.”
SkillsUSA: “A student organization that helps explore occupation through skills competitions and visits to industries, while helping them understand the responsibilities of skilled workers. SkillsUSA promotes solid trade ethics and safety standards while fostering understanding of labor and management.”
Logan Luther

Luther will be attending Ohio State University in the fall. He explained what he learned during his time at CVCC, “Mostly the class teaches the inner workings of motor but I also learned welding, hydraulics, electrical [and] diesel engines.”
