Spring Sports Wrap-Up
The boys’ track team finished the season with a 2-5 record. Junior Clay Erdie in the 110 high hurdles, sophomore Daniel Branch in the 400 meter, sophomore Mark Oleson in the 800 meter, sophomore Steven Kronenberger in the 800 meter, the team of Cole McKee, Mason Johnston, Oleson and Branch in the 4 x 400 meter relay and the team of sophomore Ty Vanliew, freshman Cole McKee, Oleson, and Erdie qualified for the District championships.
The boys’ tennis team ended their season with a record of 11-3, finishing in second place in the Suburban League competition. Singles player and senior Noah Hendrickson qualified for the district competition as did the Doubles team of junior Matt Harris and sophomore
Bharat Khumar.
The girls’ softball team completed their season with a record of 18-8. The team won sectionals, but lost to Tallmadge 1-0 in the district semi-final.
The girls’ track team ended the season with a record of 2-5 in the Suburban League.Regional qualifiers include Natalie Pasicznyk, Natalie Lewis, Marissa Harbath, Larissa Kurtz, Stephanie Bierman, Julie Garcia, Megan Kovacevich, Kailey Gentner, Sarah Weidrick, and Crystal Mortimer. Pasicznyk, Harbath, Kurtz, and Bierman also qualified for the State Meet.
The boys’ baseball team ended its season with a record of 4-10-1. The team had a win over rival Copley on May 1st, beating them 1-0.
The girls’ lacrosse team ended its season with a 6-5-1 record. The girls beat Avon Lake and St. Ursula but lost to Laurel School in tournament play. Senior Maddie Holvey made first team All-District and second team All-State.
The boys’ lacrosse team complted its season with a 13-3 record. The team hosted a playoff game against Holy Name on May 21.
