Men’s Cross Country — The Minutemen wrapped up their season at OHSAA Regionals, placing 17th as a team. Top runners for the minutemen were Anthony DeRubeis, Will Wells, and Andrew Long.
Men’s Golf – The team wrapped up their season by traveling to Pine Hills Golf Course to compete in the OHSAA District tournament where they placed twelfth. Juniors Jack Kinder and Angelo Levak both received 2nd team All-Suburban League Honors.
Men’s Soccer – The team ended their playoff run with a 2-0 loss against the Tippecanoe Red Devils in the state finals. With a final record of 20-1-2, the state final game being their first loss of the season, the team took home Suburban League, district, and regional titles. Senior Dylan Halm was named the OSCAA Division II player of the year while Junior AJ Catlett earned first team honors. Additionally head coach Nick DePompei was named Division II coach of the year.
Football – The Minutemen finished their season with a record of 5-6 , earning the team its first playoff qualification in 19 years. In the playoffs the Minutemen fell to the Norton Panthers by a score of 40-7. Additionally, the Minutemen won their rivalry game against Copley 39-22, taking back the Victory Bell.
Women’s Cross Country — The Lady Minutemen completed their season winning the Suburban League with Kiera Lang in 2nd place, Ellie Meech in 3rd place, Caroline Wilson in 6th place, and Laura Wagner in 8th place. The team then placed 6th in Districts qualifying them for Regionals where they finished 11th. Laura Wagner came in 21st place at Regionals sending her to State where she placed 74th with a time of 19:38. Senior Ellie Meech announced her commitment to run at Ohio University on Tuesday.
Women’s Golf – The Lady Minutemen ended their season at Fox Den Golf Course as they competed in the OHSAA Sectional Tournament where they shot a school record 333, missing out on districts by just 3 strokes. Top performers included Maddie Harpley with a 79 and Saumya Mahajan with an 81.
Women’s Soccer – The team wrapped up their season with a 1-0 loss in the district semi-finals match after traveling to face off against the Highland Hornets. The team achieved an overall record of 12-5-1 and finished 3rd in the Suburban League. Senior Kayla Smith and Junior Kailyn Schulte were named to the GASSCA 1st team, and Coach Pat Cingle received Assistant Coach of the Year honors
Women’s Tennis – The team finished the season with a 4-1 victory over the Strongsville Mustangs. A doubles team of Diya Nuka and Grace Clarke advanced to the OHSAA Sectional Tournament, but narrowly lost to a top seeded Hudson team in the quarterfinal round.
Volleyball – The team finished their season in the district semifinals to Wadsworth with a 3-1 loss. Their season record was 20-4 placing them at 3rd in the Suburban League. Fiona Cooper and Bella Soful were selected to play in the Senior all-star match. Fiona Cooper was named to the Division I All-District First Team and Bella Soful was awarded with a Division I Honorable Mention.
