Class of 2017 designs senior year apparel
Revere High School students in the graduating class of 2017 can now purchase senior year apparel, including short and long sleeve shirts and crewneck sweatshirts.
Students have the option to purchase either black or royal blue apparel. The prices for the short sleeve shirts, long sleeve shirts, and crewneck sweatshirts are twelve, fourteen, and seventeen dollars respectively for sizes ranging from small to extra-large. Double extra-large shirts cost one dollar more than the original price, and the triple extra-large shirts cost two dollars more than the original.
Librarian Cynthia Gobrogge discussed when the students should expect to receive their orders.
“After all the orders are submitted to the vendor, it can take anywhere from six to ten weeks for the items to be received depending on how many orders need to be processed. The plan is to have the apparel delivered to each student in time so the entire junior class can wear their Class of 2017 shirt the day after the last day of school for the current seniors.” Gobrogge said.
Junior class council member Tori Holvey discussed her thoughts on the senior apparel.
“It was hard to come up with something that everybody liked because everybody has different opinions. Personally I bought the long sleeve and the crew neck. It is a good fundraiser for us,” Holvey said.
Junior class council member Amanda Cross explained the process in which the class council decided upon the slogans and artwork on the apparel.
“The designs of the senior shirts were produced by the class council. The officers, Caitlyn Auletta, Caroline Cutler, Holvey, and Maya MacKeigan-Moore, came up with the basic ideas and then the rest of the class council voted on different mock ups they produced,” Cross said.
