Revere district hires new administrator

The Revere Local School district hired a new administrator with hopes of bringing a positive contribution and improving the education for students.

Maggie Niedzwiecki joined Revere this past summer to be the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the district. Niedzwiecki described her new job.

“The Director of Curriculum and Instruction oversees and coordinates all of the educational programing and resources for our teachers, students and administrators,” Niedzwiecki said.

The John Carroll University graduate majored in elementary education and was a former principal for an elementary school in the Perry District of Lake County. She was also Ohio’s director of Race to the Top, an educational reform program. Randy Boroff, superintendent of the Revere Local School District, talked about the decision to hire Niedzwiecki.

“We had a committee of teachers and administration members that participated in the interview process… [We] were impressed with her knowledge, persona and past experiences,” Boroff said.

Niedzwiecki described some of her personal qualities that made her a good candidate for this position.

“I have a clear understanding of all of the educational reform efforts that are being implemented state and nation-wide for educators and students,” Niedzwiecki said.

Boroff also commented on the benefit of Niedzwiecki’s qualities.

“Her knowledge for the new mandates regarding the new curriculum and learning standards in Ohio was something very beneficial,” Boroff said.

Kathy Bearer, assistant superintendent of the Revere Local School District, talked about working with Niedzwiecki.

“It has been a pleasure to work with her during this transition and [to] have another professional dedicated to the business of teaching and learning, the primary focus of our school district,” Bearer said.

Boroff talked about Niedzwiecki, regarding the community beginning to get to know her.

“I think as Niedzwiecki becomes more known throughout the district, people will appreciate the knowledge she brings to her job, and her pleasant and positive personality,” Boroff said.

Niedzwiecki took the position as the Director of Curriculum at Revere this past summer.
